What to do if my ECM Technika IV Coffee Maker is on but not working?

  If your ECM Coffee Maker is switched on but not working, check the orange control lamp. If it's off, there may not be enough water in the water tank; refill it. If the lamp is still off after refilling, switch the machine off and on again and ensure the floater in the water tank is correctly positioned (the side with the magnet point must face inside, with the magnet point on the lower part). Also, ensure the water tank is properly fixed. If using a direct water connection, make sure the switch is in position “1”.

Why is there little or no crema on my ECM Technika IV?

  If your ECM Coffee Maker produces coffee with little or no crema, it could be due to several reasons. The grind might not be fine enough; try using a finer grind and tamping the coffee more firmly, also consider reducing the brewing pressure. It's also possible that the coffee is too old, so use fresh coffee. High chlorine content in your water can also affect crema, so consider using a chlorine filter.
