CLD 780 TR / July 2000 130
Re-starting the analyzer:
1. Replace the analyzer cover.
2. Switch on the vacuum pump and (if necessary) the ozone scrubber.
3. When the pump is running, wait at least one hour then plug in the po-
wer cable connector and switch the instrument on.
Note: If a suitable pressure meter is available, use this waiting time to
check for leaks by measuring the end pressure at the sample and oxygen
inlets.
4. Check the reaction chamber pressure as follows:
press the TEST key
select the “Pressure” option
The reactor pressure should be the same as that noted before the
chambers were cleaned (see section 9.4). A higher pressure indica-
tes that there is a leak. Switch off the analyzer and pump immedia-
tely, remove, check and reinstall the reaction chambers.
5. When the instrument is warmed up and ready to measure again
supply it with calibration gas
check the counts value. This should now be higher than that noted
before cleaning the reaction chambers.
let the system run for several hours
recalibrate the instrument.
