11.1 Anchor Locker
The anchor locker on your new EdgeWater 175CC / 155CC has been designed for a danforth style 8 S
anchor. On either model the anchor locker is located in the bow on the centerline. Your anchor line
should have a shackle attached to the free end which is then attached to the eye in the anchor locker
at all times.
Remember, your anchor line should be a minimum of 7 times the depth in which you rou-
tinely operate.
Inshore, your EdgeWater 175CC / 155CC should have a minimum of 75 of 3/8 three strand
nylon line. Offshore, your EdgeWater 175CC / 155CC should have a minimum of 150 to 200
feet of 3/8 three strand nylon line. Remember the 7 times depth rule. This may sound like a
lot but if your engine fails in 100 feet of water, maintaining your position will be very impor-
tant to being recovered.

If your EdgeWater 175CC / 155CC is equipped with the optional swim
platform, there are several important things to remember for safe use and
operation of this useful option.
Always shut down the engine if persons will be using the platform. Do
not just settle for the engine being in neutral.
Make sure the folding ladder portion has been properly stowed
before getting underway.
