The pump is supplied xed by metal brackets to a wooden pallet with a cardboard surround.
These met
al brackets should be removed and retained.
• Take care when unpacking the pump to avoid excessive shocks which could damage
the bearings and reduce the life of the pump.
• If the pump is damaged, nofy the supplier and carrier immediately stang the part
number and serial number of the pump together with the order number and the
supplier's invoice number. Retain all packing materials for inspecon.
• Do not use the pump if it is damaged.
• Open the cardboard box from the top, remove any excess packaging as required. It is
advised to retain all packing materials for use should the pump be returned for
service.
• Check that the package contains the items listed in Table 3 on page 16. If any of
these items are missing, nofy the supplier in wring within three days.
• If the pump is not to be used immediately, store in suitable condions as described
in Storage on page 28.
• The pump is supplied with the inlets and outlet sealed to prevent entry of dust and
vapour. Do not remove these seals unl ready to install the pump on the vacuum
system.
