8. Communication Interfaces
You can connect external devices such as PC, Solar-Log or Ethernet (SNMP
card) to the photovoltaic solar inverter to call up data from it. The various
communication interfaces are designed for this.
8.1 Standard communication interface
The standard communication interface for the photovoltaic solar inverter is an
RS232 serial interface (otherwise known as EIA-232).
8.1.1 Settings for the RS232 interface
The RS232 interface is set as follows:
– Baud rate: 9600 bps
– Data length: 8 Bit
– Stop bit 1 Bit
– Parity: None
8.1.2 Pin assignment of the RS232 interface
Pin 3: RS232 Rx
Pin 2: RS232 Tx
Pin 5: GND
