TROUBLESHOOTING TROUBLESHOOTING
1. 1. Examine the Fuel Line -Examine the Fuel Line - Disconnect the fuel hose at the carburetor.
Is the fuel owing freely?
NONO - Clogged fuel hose/line or clogged fuel lter.
- Clogged fuel valve.
- Clogged fuel tank breather hose.
YESYES - Go to STEP 2
2. 2. Carburetor Inspection -Carburetor Inspection - Disassemble the carburetor and check for clogs.
Is the carburetor clogged and/or dirty?
NONO - Go to Step 3
YESYES - Carburetor is not serviced frequently enough, contaminated fuel.
3. 3. Ignition Timing & Valve Train inspection -Ignition Timing & Valve Train inspection -See your local EGL MotorEGL Motor dealer or motorcycle repair shop
to have the ignition timing inspected. Only attempt these procedures if you are qualied and have the
proper tools required.
Is the ignition timing, valve timing and valve springs normal? (Timing is non-adjustable)
NONO - Faulty CDI ignition box.
- Faulty ignition pulse generator.
- Broken valve spring.
- Broken or damaged camsha sprocket.
YES YES - See your local EGL MotorEGL Motor dealer to have your motorcycle serviced.
