  Several factors can prevent the EGO Chainsaw motor from running. Ensure the battery pack is correctly attached. Check and clean the contacts between the saw and battery pack. Verify that the battery pack is adequately charged. Allow the battery pack or chainsaw to cool down if overheated. Disengage the chain brake by pulling the chain kickback brake paddle backward. If the saw chain is bound in wood, release the trigger switch and remove the saw chain. Clear any debris from the bar groove or side cover.
