Water hardness
A water softening or salt partial removal system must be fitted if the hardness of the water supply is above 5°dKH or 9°fKH,
respectively (German or French degrees of carbonate hardness, respectively). The water supply after treatment should be
about 5°dKH or 9°fKH, respectively.

Water softening systems, which are regenerated with cooking salt, are not suitable for coee machines fitted with steam
boilers! Also to be avoided is the connecting of a coee machine to a central water softening system.
