Special safety information Cordless jigsaw
•
Hold the electric power tool by the
insulated handles when carrying out
work during which the plug-in tool could
strike concealed power cables or its own
power cable. Contact with a live cable might
also make the metal parts of the equipment
live and cause an electric shock.
•
Use clamps or some other means to
fasten and secure the workpiece to a
sturdy surface. If you hold the workpiece
only with your hand or against your body it will
remain unstable and might cause you to lose
control.
•
Keep the tools in a safe place and out of the
reach of children.
•
When sawing, always wear safety goggles,
protective gloves and ear muffs; use a dust
mask on dusty jobs.
•
Always remove keys and wrenches after use.
Before switching on, make sure that all keys
and wrenches have been removed from the
tool.
•
Secure the workpiece to prevent it slipping
(clamp).
•
Use on materials containing asbestos is
prohibited.
•
Note the corresponding accident prevention
regulation issued by the professional
associations in your country.
•
Use only original replacement parts.
•
Repairs may only be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
•
The noise generated at the workplace may
exceed 85 db(A). The operator will require
noise protection measures and ear muffs if
this is the case.
•
Ensure that you maintain a steady foothold.
Avoid abnormal working postures.
•
Do not expose your electric tool to rain. Never
use electric tools in damp or wet locations or
near flammable liquids or gases.
•
Keep your work area tidy.
•
Wear suitable work clothes. Never wear loose
fitting clothes and jewelry. Wear a hair net if
you have long hair.
•
For your own safety, use only accessories
and auxiliary equipment from the
manufacturer of your electric tool.
•
Use only saw blades that are sharp and
clean. Replace bent and cracked saw blades
immediately.
•
After you have switched off the saw, do
not slow down the saw blade by applying
pressure to its side.
•
Make sure that the feed speed is uniform,
as this will reduce the risk of accidents and
increase the service life of both the saw blade
and the saw.
•
Use only a damp cloth to clean your saw. Do
not use any aggressive agents for cleaning
purposes.
•
Check your saw to ensure that it is in good
working order. If the saw fails to work properly,
have it checked. Have all maintenance and
inspection work carried out only by a qualified
electrician.
Keep this safety information in a safe place.
