EKO INSTRUMENTS CO., LTD. I-V Curve Checker MP-11 Instruction Manual Ver.7
Using MP-11 Main Unit, Sensor Unit and Thermocouples
I-V Characteristics
Irradiance
Temperature
Taking measurement of PV module/array on a high location.
Necessary to take irradiance, PV module temperature, and ambient
temperature measurements
To measure and analyze the PV module/array by using only MP-11 and some
accessories.
A. MP-11 Main Unit
B. PV Probes
(1.5m, Red 1pc, Black 1pc)
C. Grounding Cable (3m)
D. Battery Receptacle Box or
AC Adapter (1.8m)
E. Sensor Unit
F. Moduler Cable (3m)
G. Thermocouple (3m, 2pcs)
Disconnect the PV module/array, which is subjected to take measurement, from the
relating devices such as power conditioner completely.
Check the switch on the Sensor Unit rear panel; it should be setup with [INT].
Connect thermocouple cables to the Sensor Unit and setup the other end of
thermocouple cable at the measuring position.
Connect the Sensor Unit to the Main Unit.
Remove the Angle Capturer from the Sensor Unit and place it on the PV
module/array; confirm the angles.
Place the Angle Capturer back on the Sensor Unit; place the Sensor Unit near the
PV module/array in the same angles confirmed with the Angle Capturer.
Remove the Angle Capturer from the Sensor Unit before the measurement.
Ground the MP-11 Main Unit with grounding cable.
Turn ON the Sensor Unit power.
Turn ON the MP-11 Main Unit power.
In case of using the Sensor Unit with cable-less connection to the Main Unit:
While the Sensor Unit power turned ON, disconnect the modular cable between the
Sensor Unit and the Main Unit
While the power is turned ON, connect the MP-11 to PV module/array.
