Using MP-11 Main Unit,
External Pyranometer and Thermocouples

Using a high precision pyranometer installed at the site for irradiance data

Disconnect the PV module/array, which is subjected to take measurement, from the
relating devices such as power conditioner completely.
Set the switch on the Sensor Unit rear panel to [EXT] position.
Connect thermocouple cables to the Sensor Unit and setup the other end of
thermocouple cable at the measuring position.
Connect an external pyranometer to the Sensor Unit.
Connect the Sensor Unit to the Main Unit.
Ground the MP-11 Main Unit with grounding cable.
Turn ON the Sensor Unit power.
Turn ON the MP-11 Main Unit power.
In case of using the Sensor Unit with cable-less connection to the Main Unit:
While the Sensor Unit power turned ON, disconnect the modular cable between the
Sensor Unit and the Main Unit
While the power is turned ON, connect the MP-11 to PV module/array.
Setup the Measurement Parameters:
Check [Use Sensor Unit]
Auto or Manual Measurement Setting
Measurement Range
Select Irradiance Sensor Type
