Why can't I increase the volume level/gain on my Elan Amplifier?

If the volume level or gain cannot be increased on your Elan Amplifier, here's what to look for: 1. Check the Volume Menu for ACE indication. If indicated, refer to the procedures listed under “Distorted Audio at Normal Volume Levels.” 2. See if AVR (Automatic Volume Reduction) is engaged. Check the Ambient Temperature Menu for possible overheating and ensure proper ventilation. If well ventilated, follow the steps for “Distorted Audio at Normal Volume Levels.” 3. Adjust the setting on the ABSOLUTE MAX VOLUME Menu, as the gain increase might be exceeding this setting.
