This document describes the Electrolux EZF5E40X oven, a built-in electric cooking appliance designed for household use.
Function Description
The oven offers a variety of heating functions to cater to different cooking needs:
- Off position (0): The oven is turned off.
- Light: Turns on the oven lamp without activating a cooking function.
- True Fan Cooking: Ideal for baking on up to two shelf positions simultaneously and for drying food. When using this function, the temperature should be set 20-40 °C lower than for Conventional Cooking.
- Moist Fan Baking: This energy-saving function is designed for cooking in a steamy environment, keeping food soft inside and crusty outside, while reducing cooking time and energy consumption. The oven door should remain closed during operation. The temperature in the cavity may differ from the set temperature, and heating power might be reduced. This function complies with the energy efficiency class according to EN 60350-1.
- Bottom Heat: Used for baking cakes with a crispy bottom and for preserving food.
- Defrost: For defrosting food like vegetables and fruit. Defrosting time varies based on the amount and size of the frozen food.
- Grilling: Suitable for grilling flat food and toasting bread.
- Fast Grilling: For grilling large quantities of flat food and toasting bread.
- Turbo Grilling: Designed for roasting larger meat joints or poultry with bones on one shelf position, as well as for making gratins and browning.
- Conventional Cooking (Top / Bottom Heat): For baking and roasting food on one shelf position.
The oven also features several clock functions:
- TIME OF DAY: To set, change, or check the current time.
- DURATION: To set how long the appliance will operate.
- END: To set when the appliance will deactivate.
- TIME DELAY: Combines DURATION and END functions, allowing the oven to start automatically at a later time and operate for a set duration, stopping at a specified end time.
- MINUTE MINDER: A countdown timer that does not affect the oven's operation.
An electric cooling system operates automatically when the oven is on to keep its surfaces cool, and may continue running after the oven is turned off until it cools down.
