Cleaning the Hook Area
Clean the hook area at least once a month.
z Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine.
Remove the needle and presser foot.
Remove the setscrews on the needle plate with the
screwdriver supplied with the machine.
Remove the needle plate.

x Take out the bobbin and bobbin holder.

c Clean the bobbin holder with a lint brush.
Wipe the bobbin holder both inside and outside with a
soft cloth.
Clean the feed dog and auto thread cutter device with
the lint brush.

v Clean the hook race with a soft cloth.

WARNING:
Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine
before cleaning.
Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than
as explained in this section.
CAUTION:
Do not store the machine in a high-humidity area,
near a heat radiator, or in direct sunlight. Store the
machine in cool dry place.

b Insert the bobbin holder so that the knob ts next to
the stopper in the hook race.
Insert the bobbin.
Attach the needle plate, presser foot and needle.
