5. Select the number of the transceiver being configured (this is printed on a
label on the side of the unit). Create a connection. You will see a message
confirming you are connected.
6. CONNECT-AIS will now guide you through configuring your vessel infor-
mation. Complete the information boxes with the relevant vessel informa-
tion and select “Next” when done.
7. Insert the vessel dimensions and select “Next” when done
8. Select the position of your GPS antenna aboard the vessel. (If you are
using the Integrated GPS receiver and antenna within the transceiver then
select the position of the transceiver instead). Select “Complete” when
done.
9. CONNECT-AIS will now display the active chart display which will show
other vessels with AIS in the vicinity.
The next time you open CONNECT-AIS it will connect automatically and go
straight to the home screen.
