  If your EMAK Chainsaw engine won't start or only runs briefly, it could be due to: 1. **No spark:** Check for a spark at the spark plug tip.   If the bar and chain on your EMAK Chainsaw are running hot and smoking, consider these possibilities: 1. **Empty chain oil tank:** Refill the oil tank each time you fill the fuel tank. 2. **Overly tight chain tension:** Adjust the chain tension following the instructions in the Operation-Chain Tension section (Pag.25). 3. **Oiler malfunction:** Run the saw at full throttle for 15 to 30 seconds, then stop it and check for oil dripping from the bar tip guard and guide bar. If there is no oil, contact a Servicing Dealer.

  If your EMAK Chainsaw starts, runs, and accelerates, but won't idle, the carburetor likely needs adjustment. To increase the idle speed, turn the idle speed screw “T” (Fig. 28) clockwise. Refer to the Operation-Carburetor Adjustment section for more details.
