Why is the bar and chain on my EMAK Chainsaw running hot and smoking?
    • D
      dustinrodriguezAug 8, 2025
If the bar and chain of your EMAK Chainsaw are running hot and smoking, it could be due to several reasons: * The chain oil tank might be empty: Ensure you fill the oil tank each time you fill the fuel tank. * The chain tension may be too tight: Adjust the chain tension according to the instructions provided in the Operation-Chain Tension section. * There might be an oiler malfunction: Run the chainsaw at full throttle for 15 to 30 seconds, then stop it and check if oil is dripping from the bar tip guard and guide bar. If there is no oil, contact a Servicing Dealer. If oil is present, the chain may be dull or the bar may be damaged.

If your EMAK Chainsaw engine won't start or only runs for a few seconds, it could be due to: 1. No spark: Check for a spark at the spark plug tip. If there's no spark, repeat the test with a new spark plug (L8RTF). 2. Flooded engine: Follow the procedure on page 14. If the engine still fails to start, repeat the procedure with a new spark plug.
