Dismounting and Disassembling
Preparations before Dismounting
Caution! If the actuator is about to be dismounted for repair, on board a ship the description of
dismounting from the valve bonnet must be followed.
Warning! If not done already, advise the system operators and other relevant persons that main-
tenance is ongoing.
Make sure that relevant operation systems are set to maintenance mode, and alterna-
tive means of operation is ensured (if required).
Warning! IKeep clear of moving valve parts due to risk of personal injury!
Empty from Oil
Before disassembling, the actuator has to be emptied from the oil. Please refer to system procedures
and documentation. Ref. documents listed on page 2 in this instruction.
Open the Valve and Actuator
The valve must be in state ‘open’ before the
actuator can be dismounted from the valve bon-
net/stem.
Ensure that the indicator disc (a) on the stem
shaft is po
sitioned next to the marking for
‘Open’ (b) on the bonnet and/or the visual indi-
cator (c) on the actuator shows ‘Open’.
