Vaikutukset
AIR-FLOW handy 3.0 PERIO -laitetta yhdessä
AIR-FLOW PERIO -käsikappaleen ja suuttimien
kanssa suositellaan seuraaviin puhdistustoimen-
piteisiin:
• Syvyydeltään 5–10 mm olevien ientaskujen
hoito biolmin poistamisella
• Implanttien huolto
Käytön esteet
Jauhepuhdistinta ei saa missään olosuh-
teissa käyttää kroonista keuhkoputkitulehdusta tai
astmaa sairastaville potilaille.Ilma- ja jauhesuihku
voi aiheuttaa hengitysvaikeuksia.
Syvien ientaskujen hoito voi aiheuttaa
bakteremiaa.Noudata riskipotilaiden (endokar-
diitti, raskaus, imetys, tarttuva tauti, immuu-
nipuutos, neutropenia, agranulosytoosi, diabetes,
hemolia) ja hoitoa saavien potilaiden (sädehoito,
kemoterapia, antibiootit) hoidossa asianmukaisia
rajoituksia.
Älä käytä AIR-FLOW PERIO -käsikappa-
letta suuttimella välittömästi subgingivaalisen
puhdistuksen jälkeen (ultraäänellä tai käsin tehty
puhdistus).
Altistetut henkilöt voivat olla herkkiä
jauheelle.Jos allergisia reaktioita havaitaan,
lopeta tuotteen käyttö ja poista se kokonaan.
Muiden kuin EMS-jauheiden käyttö
subgingivaaliseen käyttöön lyhentää suuttimen
käyttöikää.Tämän seurauksena hoidosta tulisi
tehotonta ja se lisäisi emfyseeman riskiä.
EMS:n toimittamat jauheet on suunniteltu
erityisesti käytettäväksi laitteen kanssa.Älä käytä
muiden valmistajien jauheita, sillä ne voivat vahin-
goittaa laitetta tai vaikuttaa sen tehokkuuteen.

AIR-FLOW PERIO TREATMENT
Indications
The AIR-FLOW handy 3.0 PERIO use with the
handpiece AIR-FLOW PERIO and the nozzles is
recommended for the following cleaning proce-
dures :
• Maintenance of periodontal pockets deeper
than 5 mm up to 10 mm by biolm removal
• Implant maintenance
Contra-indications
Patients su󰀨ering from chronic bronchitis
or asthma must not, under any circumstances, be
treated with an air polishing device. The jet of air
and powder could cause respiratory di󰀩culties.
The treatment of deep periodontal pockets
can cause bacteraemia. Please apply appropriate
restrictions for the treatment of risk patients
(endocarditis, pregnancy, breast feeding, conta-
gious disease, immune deciency, neutropenia,
agranulocytosis, diabetes, haemophilia), patients
under treatment (radiotherapy, chemotherapy,
antibiotics).
Do not use AIR-FLOW PERIO handpiece
with nozzle immediately after subgingival cleaning
(Ultra-sonic or hand instrumentation).
Predisposed persons may be sensitive to
the powder. If allergic reactions are observed, stop
using the product and completely remove it.
The use of any other powder than the EMS
powders for subgingival application would reduce
the nozzle's service life. As a result the treatment
would become ine󰀨ective and would increase the
risk of emphysema.
The powders provided by EMS are especially
designed for use with the unit. Do not use powders
from other manufacturers as this could damage the
unit or could adversely a󰀨ect its e󰀩ciency.
