    • K
      Kayla DavisAug 11, 2025
If the voltage for the sensor isn't detected but the alarm is still triggered, and there are no wiring issues between the transmitter and the Sensor I/F Ex box, then replace the transmitter.

Why does my Endress+Hauser Security Sensors alarm go off when there is no oil leak?
    • A
      Abigail JordanAug 29, 2025
Even if an oil leak doesn't occur, the alarm might be triggered if: the water in the pit freezes (the conductivity sensor will read it as an insulator), the float sensor tilts (reading air as an insulator), trash covers the conductivity sensor (detecting an insulator), the sensor is buried in dried mud (tuning-fork sensor reads it as liquid), snow covers the sensor (conductivity sensor detects an insulator), or the water in the pit has high resistance (conductivity sensor detects an insulator).

Why doesn't my Endress+Hauser NAR300-13 alarm go off when there is an oil leak?
    • B
      baileyrobertsSep 3, 2025
The alarm may not trigger even if an oil leak occurs if: wave and convection on liquid level, the float sensor is heavily tilted, the float sensor sinks, trash containing water exists, oil leak when it is snowing, gravity change of the water in pit.
