To add versatility to SUCCESSIVE, an EXTENDED FUNCTION [bS] is provided to
decrement the selected schedule by one. The TS1-TLS1/AUX1 on the terminal strip is used
as a BACK STEP input. The BACK-STEP input is used to decrement the SCHEDULE
display by one, except when the SCHEDULE number displayed is the first in a
SUCCESSIVE sequence.
NOTE: If BACK STEP remains activated for more than the 1.5 seconds, it will cause the
control to return to the first SCHEDULE in either a SUCCESSIVE or CHAINED series and
display a flashing ERROR CODE 06 in the DATA Display (4), if the contact is held closed.
To program the control for BACK STEP operation, the EXTENDED FUNCTION [bS]
Mode must be selected. See section 7.3 EXTENDED FUNCTIONS. Use the SCHEDULE
SELECT Push Buttons (20 & 21) and SCHEDULE Display (22) to select [bS]. With the
control in the PROGRAM Mode enter a [01] into the DATA Display (4) using DATA Push
Buttons (7 & 8). As typical of other data entry the ENTER Push Button (29) must be
depressed to load the desired data.
When in the BACK-STEP Mode of operation, the switch contacts connected between
TS1-TLS1/AUX1 and GND must be open for normal operation, and momentarily closed to
BACK-STEP the schedule. If left closed, the Data DISPLAY (4) will show "06" and the
Schedule Display (22) will show "ERROR" and the control cannot be operated.
To program the control for Temperature Limit Switch operation, (default mode) the
EXTENDED FUNCTION [bS] Mode must be selected. See section 7.3 EXTENDED
FUNCTIONS. Use the SCHEDULE SELECT Push Buttons (20 & 21) and SCHEDULE
Display (22) to select [bS]. With the control in the PROGRAM Mode enter a [00] into the
DATA Display (4) using DATA Push Buttons (5 & 6). As typical of other data entry the
ENTER Push Button (29) must be depressed to load the desired data. If Process Output 11
has been selected, Valve 3 output (SV5-SV6) will become energized when switching back
to TEMPERATURE LIMIT SWITCH Mode.
