The EN1000 Series of weld controls standardly offer UP SLOPE, DOWN SLOPE, and
UP/DOWN SLOPE for applications that require its use.
Up-Slope Control provides a means of gradually increasing weld current by automatically
phase shifting each cycle of welding current from a low preset current level to a higher
preset current level within a specific time. Up-Slope Count is adjustable from 1 to 99 cycles.
Slope Bottom Current is adjustable from 0% to 99%.
Down-Slope Control provides a means of gradually decreasing weld current by
automatically phase shifting each cycle of welding current from a high preset current level
to a lower preset current level within a specific time. Down-Slope Count is adjustable from
1 to 99 cycles. Slope Bottom Current is adjustable from 0% to 99%.
Up/Down-Slope Control provides a means of gradually increasing weld current by
automatically phase shifting each cycle of welding current from a low preset current level
to a higher preset current level within a specific time before the Weld Count and then
provides a means of gradually decreasing weld current from the high preset current level to
the low preset current level within a specific time. Up-Slope Count and Down-Slope Count
are each adjustable from 1 to 99 cycles. Slope Bottom Current is adjustable from 0% to
99%.
When Slope Control is used in conjunction with the welding control, its function is to change
the current gradually. The Up-Slope Control causes the current to start from a low
predetermined level and increase during a predetermined number of cycles. When
Down-Slope is in use the reverse is true. Up/Down Slope provides both features.
The ENTRON Up-Slope, Down-Slope, and Up/Down-Slope Control is sequential. The
Up-Slope Count and Down-Slope Count setting and the Weld Count setting are independent.
Adjusting either of the Slope Counts or Weld Count does not affect the setting or operation
of the other switch setting. No arithmetic is involved in setting the Slope Controls.

: [00] - NO SLOPE.
When a [00] is programmed, no slope will occur during WELD time. No slope will occur
even if a value is programmed into the SLOPE CYCLES function.

: [01] - UP SLOPE.
When [01] is selected and the control initiated, UP SLOPE will occur before WELD. If the
control is in PULSATION Mode, the UP SLOPE will only occur in the first WELD
IMPULSE. If in INTERMITTENT or CONTINUOUS SEAM Mode UP SLOPE will only
occur when first initiated.
