Chapter 2 Setup
Setup using a Smart Device connected using SimpleAP
Prepare the following items.
• Smart device: iOS 12 or later/Android 8 or later
• Setup utility: Epson TM Utility

Connect the wireless LAN unit to the printer.

Turn on the smart device.

Start the printer in the SimpleAP mode.
The printer prints SSID and QR code.
"SimpleAP mode" on page 52

Start Epson TM Utility.

Run [Wi-Fi Setup Wizard].

Following the on-screen instructions, scan the printed QR code and connect the
printer with SimpleAP.

Configure the network settings following the on-screen instructions.

When the settings are complete, exit Epson TM Utility.

Turn off the printer.
Wireless network settings of the printer is completed.
