14 Getting Started
1. Connect the battery charger with the provided power cable, then
insert the plug into a power outlet.
2. Place the battery into the battery charger.
3. Take the battery out when the charge lamp turns off. After charging
the battery, unplug the battery charger’s plug from the outlet.
Note:
❏ The charging time for the battery may differ depending on the temperature
or the battery’s remaining charge.
❏ During charging, the red lamp indicates the following status:
Inserting the battery
Your camera uses the lithium-ion battery (EU-85) provided. Under any
circumstances, do not use another make or model of a battery.
Lit: Indicates the battery is charging.
Unlit: Indicates charging is complete or the battery is not set.
