Cleaning the Rollers
If you notice lines or streaks on your printouts, you may need to clean the rollers
inside the printer by feeding several sheets of plain paper through it.
Note:
If paper dust builds up on the rollers, they may lose traction and become unable to feed
paper properly. See your on-screen User’s Guide for cleaning instructions.
1. Turn on the printer.
2. Open the paper support and output tray.
3. Load several sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder (see page 6).
4. Press
OK
to open the menu screen.
5. Select
Setup
, select
Maintenance
, then select
Cleaning Sheet
.
6. Press
OK
to feed a sheet of paper through the printer.
7. Feed several sheets of paper to completely clean the rollers. Select
Yes
to feed
another sheet, or select
No
when you’re finished and the paper comes out
clean.
