Installing the optional paper cassette unit
1. Turn the printer off and unplug the power cord and interface cable.

Important:
Make sure to unplug the power cord from the printer to prevent getting an electrical shock.
2. Carefully take the optional paper cassette unit out from its carton and place it where you intend to
set up the printer.
3. Confirm the bundled items.

Note for AL-M400 Series users:
If you install two or more optional paper cassette units, secure them to each other in advance. Then,
follow the steps below. For details on how to install the optional paper cassettes together, see the
instructions that come with the paper cassette units.
