Starting warm engine
1. Place the equipment on a at and stable surface. The cutting device (8) should not
touch ground or any objects.
2. Ensure the choke lever (11) is set to OPEN position (Fig. 15).

3. Hold the machine securely to the ground with your left hand. Pull the recoil starter
handle (5) slowly with your right hand until you feel a denite resistance and then
give it a brisk, strong pull. Repeat until the engine starts (Fig. 14).
4. Squeeze the throttle control lock-out (2) and throttle control (3) and release them to
let engine run at idle speed.
After starting the engine
1.
Press the throttle control lock-out (2) and then slowly press the throttle control (3)
to increase the engine speed.

Check if the cutting device (8) stops moving when you release the throttle control (3).
Stopping the engine
1. Release the throttle control (3) and let the equipment run in idle for a while.
2. Push the stop switch (4) to O position until engine stops.
WARNING! The cutting device (8) continues to move for some time after the
engine has been switched off. Wait until the cutting device comes to a complete
stop before setting the equipment on the ground.
