In the figure, (1) is a loosening screw, (2) is a tightening screw. When the gap is
too small, loosening (2), adjust (1) to fitness. This work has been done before the
machine leaves the factory, the user need to adjust only when the machine has
been used for a period of time and the slideway gap is excessively large because
of wearing. The tightening screw (2) of tailstock is also acted as a braking screw.
When the tailstock is needed to be moved, loosen the screw (2), push the tailstock
into the desired position, then tighten the screw (2) again.
5. Operation of other parts
Handwheels are set at tailstock, slide seat small tool carrier and right end of the
bed, use them to steer the motion of moving parts, the moving speed is depended
on the operator who turns the handwheel fast or slowly according to technological
requirement for working parts.
6.0 MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance will increase durability and reliability of your lathe.
1. Every time before operation of the machine, oil the machine for lubrication
according to lubrication chart. After operation clean machine surfaces,
especially slideway surfaces.
2. Don't beat different surfaces of machine with heavy weight, especially the
spindle, slideway surface and leading screw, sleeve surface. If any damage
occurs, repair the impacted surface with an oil stone, so as to avoid drawing
damage of the coupling surfaces by burrs.
3. In use, the chip falling onto all the sliding surfaces should be cleaned out in
time.
4. After having done the work each day, you must clean out the chip and wipe all
parts of the machine tool, and coat it with machine oil in order to prevent the
machine from rusting.
5. To change the rotational speed of the spindle box, first of all, stop the machine,
and switch it according to the required speed and refering to the operating
position on the indicating plate.
