Off = Controller function switched off
All the controller functions are switched off. If this mode is activated “OFF mode” will
appear on the display from time to time and the red LED will flash as a warning.
Manual = Manual mode (see section Emergency/Manual mode)
All the controller functions are switched off and the circulation pump is switched on.
The mixing valve can be opened or closed by pressing a button. The current flow
temperature is shown on the display. In manual mode the red LED flashes as a warning.
When the menu is exited, the controller returns to the previous mode.
Setpoint = Control to a fixed setpoint
Please note: Normal controller functions are switched off and the unit will now only
control the system to a fixed setpoint entered here when the circulation pump is active.
The current flow temperature is shown on the display. When the menu is exited, the
controller returns to the previous mode.
“05 Set Clock” menu
When the controller is first switched on, it is vital to set the current time and date. In the
event of a power failure the clock will continue to run for up to 5 days.
“06 Special Functions” menu
Special settings can be entered in this menu.
Language = setting of language in dislay
Factory setting for language is English. Eligible languages for display text is English,
German, French, Swedish, Norwegian and Spanish.
Valve ON time = Adjusts the running time of the mixing valve
The factory setting for the ON timer is 1 second and can be adjusted from 0.5…4.5
seconds in 0.5-second increments.
Dir. of rotation = Sets OPEN and CLOSED
With the factory setting the mixing valve turns clockwise to CLOSE and counterclockwi-
se to OPEN. Depending on how the mixing valve is fitted, this function can be reversed
In this case the sticker indicating the direction of rotation will have to be changed. To do
this, use a small screwdriver to lever the transparent disc off the front carefully, change
the sticker and put the transparent disc back together with its rubber seal.
Frost prot. = Frost protection function
If the outside temperature drops to 0°C while the frost protection function is activated,
the target flow temperature will be set to min. 20°C to protect the heating circuit from
frost damage. If the outside temperature goes above +2°C, normal operation will be
resumed. The factory setting is frost protection on.
Frost protection is inoperative in manual, setpoint and off mode.
Man. Adjust = Manual sensor adjustment
The 90C controller allows a correction value to be set for each temperature sensor in
order to compensate for measuring errors in the case of long sensor leads, for example.
If the setting is increased by 1 point, the temperature displayed will be corrected by
approx. 0.5°C. If the setting is reduced by 1 point, the temperature displayed will be
corrected by approx. –0.5°C. The factory setting is 0.
Auto adjust = Automatic unit adjustment and test
This function can only be accessed by the manufacturer using a code.
“07 Menu Disable” menu
Menu Disable can be activated in order to disable all the menus in which settings can
be adjusted and so prevent them from being changed accidentally.
If new settings need to be entered, Menu Disable will have to be deactivated first.
“08 Default Settings” menu
This menu can be used to load the original factory settings or save and restore personal
settings.
Recommendation: The settings used by the engineer when the controller is first used
should be saved under personal settings.
“09 Service Parameters” menu
In the event of a fault, e.g. for remote diagnosis over the phone, the operating states
and settings of the controller can be displayed using this menu and then logged.
