CAUTION!
• Before attempting any maintenance or cleaning the appliance, always
switch the appliance off, disconnect it from the mains power supply and
let it cool down until all surfaces are safe to touch.
• Do not attempt to open the appliance and repair it yourself. Any repairs
must be carried out by a qualified technician.
Cleaning and maintenance
To ensure your appliance gives you lasting service, you should clean it
regularly. If excessive dust, dirt or other foreign matter is clogging up the rear
parts of the appliance, its effectiveness and safety as a fan and heater will be
compromised. We therefore recommend you clean the appliance at least once
every two months.
• Switch the appliance off and allow it to cool. Disconnect the electricity
supply to the appliance.
• If the outside of the appliance needs cleaning, wipe it with a soft, damp
cloth and then wipe it dry with a dry cloth. Allow some time for the
appliance to dry thoroughly before reconnecting it to the power supply.
• Do not use caustic or abrasive cleaning powders or furniture polish, as

• CAUTION: Never immerse the cord, plug or appliance in water or
other liquid for cleaning. Do not allow water to enter the interior of the
appliance.
• Dust from around the grilles can often be removed by using a vacuum
cleaner with a soft brush attachment.
• The foam dust filter at the back of the appliance can be
removed for cleaning. It sits behind the rear cover, which
can be removed by taking off the three screws at the
back of the cover.
• Shake out and clean the filter thoroughly. If washing the
filter, please ensure it is completely dry before reuse.
Reinstall the filter before refitting the rear cover. Tighten
the screws.
