Instructions
Features
• The appliance can be operated as a heater or as a cooling fan.
• It can be operated either manually using the control panel on the upper base,
or remotely via the supplied remote control.
• The appliance is equipped with four wind speeds
(strong, high, medium, low), an off-timer with four
settings (1h, 2h, 4h, 8h), and horizontal oscillation
(80°). It can also be manually tilted upwards 90
degrees, as pictured.
• When used as a heater, you can select a low
(1000W) or high (2000W) heat setting.
Set-up location requirements
• Place the heater in an upright position on a flat,
stable, dry and heat resistant surface, taking into
consideration all relevant safety information on
the previous pages. Make sure it is not subject to
vibrations or movement.
• To exclude the risk of fire, maintain minimum clearances of 50cm above,
behind and at each side of the heater, and 100cm at the front.
• Do not place the appliance in a hot, wet or very moist environment, or in the
vicinity of flammable materials.
• The mains power socket must be easily accessible so that, in an emergency,
the mains power cable can be easily disconnected.
• Select a location where the flow of hot air is not directly aimed at people,
animals or plants.
First use
When turning on the heater for the first time, it is normal for the heater to emit
a ‘new heater’ smell, or a little smoke. This is not harmful and will stop after a
short while. Please ensure meanwhile that there is sufficient ventilation.
Connection
• Make sure the ON/OFF [ I / O ] switch at the back of the appliance is in the
OFF [ O ] position, then plug the mains plug into an appropriate electrical
outlet and switch on power to the outlet.
• Always use a separate socket that has no other high wattage appliances
connected at the same time – do not plug it into a power board or socket
adaptor; do not use an extension cord.
