Operating Instructions (Cont.)
Remote operation
When using the remote control to operate the flame effect heater, please ensure
you have properly inserted two AAA batteries, as explained on page 18. Point
the remote control directly towards the front of the flame effect heater. The
remote control will not operate if its path is blocked. Make sure there are no
obstacles between the heater and the remote control. If the heater does not
work when using the remote control from a close range, you need to replace
the batteries.
NOTE: Please be patient when using the remote control. It takes a little time for
the receiver to respond to the transmitter. Do not press any button more than
once within two seconds for the heater to operate normally.
Standby: Set the POWER rocker switch at the top right hand side of the
heater to the ON [ I ] position to set the heater into standby mode.
Switch on: Press the [ ON/OFF ] button once to switch the appliance on in
flame effect mode (no heat).
Low heat: Press the [ 900W ] button once to add low heat to the flame
effect; press the button again to switch off the heat.
High heat: Press the [ 1800W ] button once to add high heat to the flame
effect; press the button again to switch off the heat.
Dimmer: Press the [ DIMMER ] button to activate the dimmer mode;
repeated pressing will raise and lower the brightness level.
Standby/switch off: Press the [ ON/OFF ] button to set the appliance back
into standby mode. Set the POWER rocker switch to the OFF [ O ] position
to disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
NOTE:
Old batteries will decrease the sensitivity of the remote control.
Do not leave the remote control exposed to sunlight or very bright light, as
this will decrease the sensitivity of the remote control. Do not leave it in very
hot or humid conditions.
Do not drop, apply shock or step on the remote control. Do not spill water
on the remote control.
If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period of
time, remove the batteries to prevent possible leakage and corrosion.
