What to do if the residual current device trips constantly on my EVBox Battery Charger?
    • L
      Linda EvansJul 27, 2025
If the EVBox Battery Charger's residual current device trips constantly, it may be due to a grounding error. Inspect the electrical wiring for any damage and replace any damaged wiring. Moisture or condensation on electrical connections can also cause this issue, so dry the connections if necessary. Additionally, the problem might be with the vehicle or charging cable itself, in which case, replace the charging cable. Finally, measure the grounding resistance and compare it with the resistance required by the vehicle's supplier.

How to troubleshoot an EVBox BusinessLine Battery Charger that does not react?
    • N
      Nicole BryanAug 6, 2025
If your EVBox Battery Charger isn't reacting, it might not be getting power. First, check if the residual current device and circuit breaker in the meter cabinet are on. If those are fine, ensure the main switch in the charging station is on (this might require an electrician). Also, verify the supply cable entering the charging station is live. Finally, try turning the charging station on again.

Why does my EVBox BusinessLine Battery Charger not emit a clear tone when turned on?
    • N
      Nicholas SchmidtAug 16, 2025
If your EVBox Battery Charger isn't emitting a clear tone when turned on, it could be due to several reasons. Check if the control current circuit breaker (C6) is on. Also, see if there is 230V on the input terminals of the power supply and 12V on the output terminals. If there's no 12V on the output, switch off the C6 circuit breaker, wait two minutes, and switch it back on. If the problem persists, the power supply should be replaced. Ensure all plug connections, especially to the controller unit, are snugly fit. Lastly, relocate the wiring harness if it runs too close to the 12V supply.
