11.4 Leaning Post and Console
Aluminum Leaning Post
The leaning post/seat is made of welded powder
coated aluminum. The base accommodates a
large cooler that is secured with special brackets
and straps. Grab rails on the rear provide a hand-
hold for passengers.
The helm and passenger seat is equipped with
a ip up bolster to provide more room between
the seat and the helm. The bolster converts the
seat to a leaning post style seat with a backrest,
allowing the operator and passenger to sit or
stand at the helm. A powder coated footrest
automatically folds out when the bolster is folded
to the seat position. Gas springs connected to the
linkage between the footrest and bolster secure
the bolster in the leaning post or seat positions.
To convert the seat to a leaning post, lift the front
of the seat cushion to raise the bolster and push
it back above the seat cushion. The leaning post
footrest automatically folds to the leaning post
frame as the bolster is raised. Another molded
in footrest on the rear of the console can be used
when the bolsters are set to either position.
The re extinguisher mount is located below the
footrest on the rear of the console. The mounting
location keeps the re extinguisher out of the way
and readily available.
Helm
The steering, engine controls, engine instruments
and switches for exterior equipment and naviga-
tion lights are located on the helm station. An area
for ush mounted electronics is located forward
of the steering and engine controls. The helm is
also equipped with cup holders, grab rails and a
lockable storage compartment. There is also MP3
and 12 volt accessory plugs in the helm panel and/
or in the storage compartment.
Access hatches in the head compartment provide
access to the back of the helm panel for servic-
ing equipment and installing electronics or other
accessories.
Windshield
The boat is equipped with an acrylic windshield
mounted to the front of the center console. Acrylic
panels on each side of the console provide addi-
tional protection. Acrylic glass scratches easily.
Never use a dry cloth or glass cleaning solutions
on acrylic. Use a soft cloth and mild soap and
