1.Checkthefront-to-rearbladelevel.Ifthefront
bladetipisnot“R”(seeBlockHeightandRake
TableinDeckLeveling)lowerthantherear
bladetip,adjustthebladelevelusingthefollowing
instructions:
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
3.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothe
neutralposition,engagetheparkingbrake,stop
theengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Checktheairpressureofallfourtires.Ifneeded,
adjusttotherecommendedination;referto
CheckingtheTirePressureinDriveSystem
Maintenancesection.
5.Checkandadjusttheside-to-sidebladelevelif
youhavenotcheckedthesetting;refertoDeck
Leveling.
6.Settheheight-of-cutlevertothe3inch(76mm)
position.Placetwo“B”thickblocks(seeBlock
HeightandRakeTableinDeckLeveling)under
therearedgeofthecuttingdeckskirt;oneon
eachsideofthecuttingdeck.Placetwo“A ”thick
blocks(seeBlockHeightandRakeTableinDeck
Leveling)undereachsideofthefrontedgeofthe
deck,butnotundertheanti-scalprollerbrackets.
7.Loosenthelevelingadjustlockingnuts(item1
Figure70)onallfourcornerssothatthedeckis
sittingsecurelyonallfourblocks.Makesurethat
theslackisremovedfromthedeckhangersand
thedeckliftfootleverispushedbackagainstthe
stop,thentightenthefourlevelingadjustlocking
nuts.
8.Carefullyrotatethebladessotheyarefacingfront
torear(Figure71).
9.For60InchDecksOnly:
A.Raisethedecktothetransport(5inch(12.7
cm)cuttingheight)position.
B.Slowlyloosentheadjustingscrewonthe
liftassistspringuntilthescrewcanbe
removed(seeFigure69).Savethescrewfor
reinstallation.
10.Measurefromthetipofthefrontbladetotheat
surfaceandthetipoftherearbladetotheat
surface(Figure71).Ifthefrontbladetipisnot
“R”(seeBlockHeightandRakeTableinDeck
Leveling)lowerthantherearbladetip,adjustthe
frontdeckhanger.
