5.1 Preparations Figure 04
WARNING – Electric shock hazard:
• Before cleaning and changing the air filter, switch off the appliance
at the ON/OFF switch
and remove the plug
.
• Protect the appliance from splashing and do not use a wet cloth for
cleaning.
• Only ever dry clean the air grille ① (see Figure 05), without the use
of liquids.
• Do not introduce objects into openings in the appliance. Do not use
sharp objects, e.g. a tail comb, to remove dust or foreign bodies.

Allow appliance to cool down.

Switch off appliance at the ON/OFF switch
and remove plug

RISK OF FIRE / damage to the Hood dryer, model M41:
• Do not use benzine, paint thinners or other highly flammable
substances for cleaning.
• Do not use harsh cleaning agents or scouring products.
5.2 Cleaning appliance Figure 05
The housing is made of sturdy materials that are easy to clean. You will avoid
disco-louration if you immediately remove traces of colouring products from the
plastic.
5.2.1. Appliance surfaces
1st
Follow safety instructions as described in section 5.1.
2nd
Only clean appliance surfaces with a soft cloth that has been slightly
moistened in water with a little washing-up liquid added and well wrung out
beforehand.
5.2.2. Air grille under the filter cover
1st
Remove filter cover
and air filter
as described in section 5.3.
2nd
Only ever dry clean the air grille ① with a brush or use a vacuum cleaner
with a brush attachment..
3rd
Fit filter cover
as described in section 5.3.
5.2.3. Hairdryer dome and air grille under the hairdryer dome
1.
Remove hairdryer dome
as described in section 5.4 and clean outside and
in with a moistened cloth.

Only ever dry clean the air grille ① with a brush or use a vacuum cleaner
with a brush attachment.
3.
Fit hairdryer dome
as described in section 5.4.
