9.5 Access to the PLC from a PC, via DNC
The CNC allows the PLC to communicate with a computer via DNC through the RS232C serial line.
In this way a computer can access the PLC carrying out:
• Transfer and reception of the user PLC program.
• Monitoring of the user PLC program.
• Monitoring of PLC resources.
• Consultation or modification of PLC resources.
• Execution of PLC commands (compile, execute, etc.).
• Etc.
