Overview

This document is an installation and user manual for the Fairland Full-Inverter heat pump, designed for inverter swimming pools.

Function Description

The Fairland Full-Inverter heat pump is designed to heat swimming pool water. It operates with two main modes: Smart and Silence. The Smart mode offers 20% to 100% heating capacity, intelligent optimization, and fast heating, making it suitable for standard use. The Silence mode provides 20% to 80% heating capacity with a sound level 3dB(A) lower than Smart mode, ideal for night use. The heat pump has a power-off memory function, allowing it to restart automatically when power is restored. It is crucial that the heat pump is only used for heating pool water and not for flammable or turbid liquids.

Important Technical Specifications

The heat pump models range from IPH15 to IPH100T, with advised pool volumes from 15-30 m³ up to 90-160 m³. The operating air temperature range is -7°C to 43°C, with a temperature setting range for heating from 18°C to 40°C. Optimal performance is achieved in air temperatures between 15°C and 25°C.

Usage Features

The heat pump features an intuitive control panel with buttons for Power On/Off, Wi-Fi setting, Unlock/Lock screen, Speed (Smart/Silence mode selection), and Up/Down (temperature adjustment).

  • Screen Lock: The screen locks automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity. When the HP is off, the screen is dark and displays "0%".
  • Screen Unlock: Pressing the unlock button for 3 seconds unlocks the screen, allowing other buttons to function.
  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the set temperature when the screen is unlocked.
  • Mode Selection: The Smart mode is default upon power-on. Press the Speed button to switch to Silence mode.
  • Defrosting: The unit has auto defrosting. Compulsory defrosting can be initiated by pressing the Speed and Up/Down buttons together for 5 seconds. Compulsory defrosting intervals should be more than 30 minutes, and the compressor should run for at least 10 minutes.
  • Temperature Display Conversion: Pressing the Up and Down buttons together for 5 seconds switches between °C and °F.
  • Wi-Fi Setting: The heat pump supports Wi-Fi connectivity via a dedicated app (Fairland Full-Inverter) available on Google Play and the App Store. Users can register by cell phone number/email, create a family, and bind devices. Wi-Fi binding involves pressing the Power On/Off button for 3 seconds until the Wi-Fi symbol flashes. If connection fails, users should check network name, password, and device proximity to the router. Wi-Fi rebinding is possible by pressing the Power On/Off button for 10 seconds.
  • Operation Sequence: For extended service life, the water pump should be turned on before the heat pump starts and turned off after the heat pump is off. Ensure no water leakage in the piping system before powering on. The heat pump has a start delay function: the fan starts in 3 minutes, and the compressor in another 30 seconds.

Maintenance Features

  • Daily Maintenance:
    • Always cut off the power supply before any maintenance.
    • Clean the evaporator with household detergents or clean water; avoid gasoline, thinners, or similar fuels.
    • Regularly check bolts, cables, and connections.
  • Winterizing:
    • During winter, when the pool is not in use, cut off the power supply and drain water from the heat pump.
    • If the heat pump is used below 2°C, ensure continuous water flow to prevent freezing and damage to the titanium heat exchanger. To drain water, unscrew the water union of the inlet pipe.
  • Professional Maintenance: Annual maintenance should be performed by a qualified professional technician. Do not touch electronic components until LED indication lights on the PCB turn off.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common faults (e.g., no power, fan running but insufficient heating, display normal but no heating) with corresponding reasons and solutions. Users are advised to contact their installer for complex issues and not attempt repairs themselves.
  • Failure Codes: A comprehensive list of failure codes (E1-E8, P0-P9, PA, F1-F9, Fb, FA) is provided to help diagnose issues, distinguishing between non-failure reminders (E3, Ed, Eb, E6, E5) and actual failures.

Installation Guidelines

  • Transportation: The heat pump must be kept in an upright position during storage and movement. Do not lift the unit by the water union to prevent damage to the internal titanium heat exchanger.
  • Professional Installation: Installation must be carried out by a professional team to ensure safety and prevent damage.
  • Location: Install the heat pump in a well-ventilated area. Maintain minimum distances of 700mm from the front, 500mm from the back, and 700mm from the sides. A minimum distance of 1500mm is required from the air outlet.
  • Piping: The inlet and outlet water unions cannot bear the weight of soft pipes; hard pipes must be used. The water pipe length between the pool and the heat pump should be ≤10m for optimal heating efficiency.
  • Foundation: The frame must be fixed with M10 bolts to a solid concrete foundation or strong, anti-rust treated brackets.
  • Water Pump: A user-supplied water pump is required, with specifications referring to the technical parameters (Max. lift ≥10m).
  • Condensation Water: Condensation water will be discharged from the bottom; a drainage tube (accessory) should be inserted and connected to drain the water.
  • Electrical Wiring:
    • Connect to an appropriate power supply matching the product's rated voltage.
    • Ensure proper earthing.
    • Wiring must follow the circuit diagram provided and be done by a professional technician.
    • Install a breaker or fuse according to local codes (leakage operating current ≤ 30mA).
    • Power and signal cables should be laid out orderly and without mutual interference.
    • The back panel needs to be opened for power connection.
  • Heating Priority Wiring (Optional): Detailed wiring diagrams are provided for heating priority functions for water pumps with different voltages (230V, 400V) and capacities (≤500W, >500W).
  • Parallel Connection with Filtration Clock: Instructions are given for connecting the water pump wiring of the heat pump in parallel with a water pump timer.
