LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
LIGHTING THE PIZZA CHEF
1. Check the switch is in the “OFF” position. Open the gas supply from the gas bottle using the
regulator.
2. Press and turn the switch to the left until you hear a click, and the burner lights.
Tip: Hold the switch down and turned for 5 seconds to get the gas flowing before turning all the way
and hearing the click.
3. Continue to hold the switch for another 5 seconds after ignition before releasing it.
4. If the burner does not light after 5 seconds, set the switch to the “OFF” position, and close the
regulator on the gas bottle. Wait for 5 minutes. Repeat the procedure above.
NEVER PUT YOUR FACE CLOSE TO THE OVEN WHILE LIGHTING!
GAS INSIDE CAN IGNITE, CAUSING BURNS TO SKIN, HAIR AND CLOTHES.
IF THE BURNER DOES NOT IGNITE, TURN THE SWITCHES TO THE OFF POSITION
CLOSE THE GAS SUPPLY AND WAIT 5 MINUTES BEFORE TRYING TO IGNITE AGAIN.
IF THE PIZZA OVEN STILL DOES NOT LIGHT WITH NORMAL OR MANUAL METHOD,
READ THE TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE OR CONTACT YOUR DEALER.
MANUAL LIGHTING
1. If the igniter will not light the oven after repeated attempts using the switch, the oven can be lit with
matches.
2. If you have already attempted to light the oven with the switch, wait 5 minutes for the gas to
disperse.
3. Put a match in the matchstick holder, light it, and insert through the opening to the burner.
4. Press and turn the switch to start the gas flow. Check that the burner is lit, and remains lit.
5. If the burner does not light after 5 seconds, set the switch to the “OFF” position, and close the
regulator on the gas bottle. Wait for 5 minutes. Repeat the procedure above.
