26-S Self-loading Stretcher
THE STRETCHER
Description
The 26-S stretcher (known simply as the "stretcher" in this
document) is a device for handling patients in emergency
situations and is designed for transporting the patient in an
ambulance. It allows you to carry a patient securely thanks
to the system of safety restraings (for the restraints, see the
Accessories chapter.)
The stretcher should be used only by trained and qualied
staff. The stretcher is for professional use by at least two
qualied operators. It was designed to reduce the risk of
back injuries to healthcare workers. Additional assistance
may be required to handle heavy patients and/or when
the situation demands it, and should always be provided
according to local health protocols.
The stretcher has been designed to be used exclusively with
Ferno ambulance locking systems (for available locking
systems, see Accessories.)
WARNING
Improper use of the stretcher can cause damage
and / or injury. Use the 26-S stretcher as described
in this manual.

Untrained users may injure themselves, cause
damage and/or physical harm. Allow only trained
and qualied sta to use the 26-S stretcher.

MEDICAL DEVICES DIRECTIVE
Ferno's products meet the requirements of European
Directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical
devices. The stretcher is a Class I device.
