CHOOSING
THE
RIGHT
DETERGENT
We
recommend the
use
of
non soap domestic
detergents (powder or liquid). Detergents are
low
sudsing and 'dissolve readily to help you
obtain the best wash results.
You should not. use soap' powdel' or
soap
flakes..
',...
.
e.g. Lux Soap Flakes, Blue Sno Soap Powder.
·Soap p'rodlJcts when comoiried
with
the.
.minerals in hard water can create a sticky scum
that
builds up on autowasher parts.
In
addition
the spinning action
of
an
autowasher tends to
. create
an
oversudsing problem with soaps. "
When washing woollens remember
to
use a
detergent recommended by the
NewZealand
Wool Board
or
Australian Wool Corporation.
HOW
MUCH
DETERGENT?
· The levels marked
on
the detergent cup are a
guide
to
the correct amount
of
powdered
detergent to
use
for
each
water
level. ( A
heavily soiled load
may,
requiremore
detergent).
Use
the scale that corresponds
to
themodel
number
of
your machine.
.'
For
liquid and concentrated detergents, follow
the recommendations of the detergent
manufacturer. .
. Remember, your autowasher and
your
wash
will
benefit from using the correct quantities
of
detergent. If not enough detergent is used soil
and
lint
cl:'ln
settle back on the clothes
..
DETERGENT DisPENSING SYSTEM
1.
Remove the fabric softener dispenser.
2.
Pourthe
detergent ca'refully down the
centre
of
the
agitator~
3.
Replace fabric softener dispenser.
tThis prevents small articles falling down
the centre
of
the agitator.)
As your machine fills, the bowl stirs slowly
creating enough turbulence to dissolve the
. detergent before the machine begins to agitate.
This means there Will
be
less foam in the
· machine. Foam may look good out does not
contribute
to
cleaning your wash.
