Overview

The PowerSec MP2000 is a high-quality portable power station designed to meet various off-grid power demands. It features a replaceable battery pack, making it a versatile solution for emergencies, outdoor activities, and RV power supply. With a high output power of up to 2,000 W, fast charging capabilities, large capacity, and a long cycle life, it is built for reliable performance.

Function Description

The PowerSec MP2000 serves as a multi-purpose power station, providing various output options for different devices. It includes:

  • LCD Screen: Displays essential information such as battery level, input power, DC output, AC output, USB output, AC charging cable indicator, temperature alarm, fan cooling status, and UPS status.
  • DC Output Ports: Two 12 V/4 A DC5525 output ports and one 12 V/8 A cigarette lighter output port for powering DC devices.
  • USB Output Ports: Two USB-C output ports and four USB-A output ports for charging a wide range of USB-powered devices.
  • AC Output Ports: Three AC output ports providing 230±10 V, 50 Hz, with a rated output power of 2,000 W (pure sine wave), suitable for household appliances and tools.
  • Input Ports: Two photovoltaic input ports for solar charging and one AC input port for wall charging.
  • Cooling Fan: Ensures proper operating temperature, activating automatically when the output load is high or during charging/discharging.
  • Main Power Switch: Turns the entire product on or off.
  • Individual Output Switches: Separate buttons for DC, USB, and AC outputs, allowing users to control power delivery to specific port types.

The device also features an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) function, indicated on the LCD screen, which means it can provide power to connected devices from a wall outlet while simultaneously charging its internal battery.

Usage Features

The PowerSec MP2000 is designed for user convenience and safety, incorporating several features for optimal use:

  • Fast Charging: The device supports fast charging via the provided AC charging cable, taking approximately 1.8 to 2.5 hours to reach full capacity. It is crucial to use the original AC charging cable and ensure the wall outlet's output current is higher than 10 A to prevent damage and ensure proper charging.
  • Solar Charging: The power station can be charged using solar panels (12-55 V, 60 W/80 W/100 W/120 W/150 W/600 W). The total open circuit voltage of solar panels connected in series-parallel must not exceed 55 V. For optimal charging, place solar panels in direct sunlight. When using both PV input ports, ensure the same voltage is applied to both, preferably using solar panels of the same specifications.
  • Car Charging: A 12 V car charging cable is provided for charging the product from a vehicle, which takes approximately 32 to 34 hours. It is important not to charge the product with solar panels and the car charger simultaneously.
  • Battery Level Indicator: The LCD screen displays the battery level with a bar graph and a percentage. It is recommended to fully charge the product before its first use and to recharge it whenever the battery level drops below 20% to preserve service life.
  • Overload Protection: If the output ports are overloaded, the product automatically turns off the output and displays fault code "E08" on the LCD screen, protecting the device and connected appliances.
  • Frequency Setting: The product can automatically detect and adapt to the mains frequency (50 Hz or 60 Hz). Users can also manually set the AC output frequency to match the requirements of the device being charged.
  • Sleep Mode: To conserve power, the product enters sleep mode after 5 minutes if no charging or discharging activity is detected. It also enters sleep mode after 8 hours if USB, DC, and AC output power remain below 5 W, 5 W, and 25 W respectively.
  • Battery Replacement: The PowerSec MP2000 features a replaceable battery pack. The manual provides clear instructions for safely turning off the product, opening the cover, disconnecting the old battery, and installing a new one.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of the PowerSec MP2000:

  • Regular Charging and Discharging: To preserve service life, fully charge and discharge the battery at least once every 3 months, especially if the product is not frequently used.
  • Cleaning: Disconnect the product from all power supplies and output devices before cleaning. Use a clean, dry, non-soft cotton cloth to wipe the surface. Remove any foreign objects, dirt, or obstructions from the vents on both sides. Avoid using corrosive cleaners, solvents, or compressed air on the side vents, and never use metal objects to clean the ports to prevent electric shock.
  • Storage: For storage longer than 1 month, ensure the battery level is at least 50% and store it indoors at a normal temperature (0-40°C or 32-104°F) for no more than 6 months. Keep the product away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures (below -15°C or above 45°C), corrosive chemicals, and gases.
  • Transportation: The product meets legal requirements for transporting dangerous goods. For air transport, the lithium-ion battery pack (exceeding 100 Wh) must be packed according to IATA standards, including labeling requirements and declarations. The battery power cannot be higher than 30% when transported by air.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides guidance for common issues such as the product not discharging or not charging, including checking cable connections, output power, battery pack connection, and temperature protection. Fault codes displayed on the LCD screen (e.g., E01 for battery overvoltage, E03 for inverter overheating) help diagnose specific problems.
  • Disposal and Recycling: The product and its accessories should not be disposed of in regular trash. They must be disposed of in accordance with local laws and regulations, with references to relevant environmental protection agencies like www.epa.gov.
  • Warranty: The product comes with a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in workmanship and materials. Replacements are provided for valid claims, with the replacement carrying a warranty of 90 days or the remaining warranty period of the original product, whichever is longer. The warranty excludes products that are modified, misused, abused, damaged by accident, or purchased from online auctions. The battery pack warranty requires full charging within seven days of purchase and every six months thereafter.
