What to do if the Flexicon Laboratory Equipment cap is not crimped tight or is crimped too tight?
    • B
      blake84Aug 12, 2025
If the cap is not crimped tight or is crimped too tight on your Flexicon Laboratory Equipment, it could be due to several reasons. First, the crimp head height might be incorrect; adjust it slightly, keeping in mind that lower is tighter and higher is looser. Second, the stroke length could be incorrect, requiring an adjustment of the stroke. Finally, dirty or worn jaws can also cause this issue; clean and polish the jaws. If the problem persists, contact your supplier or WMF.

If crimping is occurring on the rim of the caps when using your Flexicon Laboratory Equipment, the cap skirt might be too short. To resolve this, make an adjustment of the stroke.

    • P
      Patricia FloresAug 27, 2025
If the crimping process leaves marks on the cap skirt and the crimping isn't tight when using Flexicon Laboratory Equipment, it may be because the capping head is too high. Lowering the capping head should solve this issue.

If caps are closing on the bottle neck when using your Flexicon Laboratory Equipment, it's likely due to a stroke that is too long. You should adjust the stroke. (see section 4.2)
