• Keep focussed on your kite at all times, so you can anticipate any unusual circumstances your
kite might get into and to act in the correct way if required by reeling your kite back in for a safe
landing. If the wind would decrease rapidly then you will notice the fl ying line will lose tension
and it would be advised to reel your kite back in. When the wind strength increases, you will
notice your kite rising to a higher vertical position than before and with a more intense pull and
an increased noise from the fl apping wingtips. Again it would be advised to reel your kite back
in if you are not comfortable with these conditions or if the wind speed would come close to the
advised maximum wind speed of 20mph or 32kph.
• When you are ready to reel your kite back in, simply leave the reel ratchet lock device in the
locked position and use the wind/unwind handle to bring your kite down. Note that your kite
may become unstable when it comes within 20 metres (65 feet) of the ground because the
wind is often more turbulent at lower altitudes, especially when your kite is being fl own inland
with obstacles such as trees, buildings or hills in the vicinity up to 800 metres (2650 feet) away.
When your kite becomes unstable, try to walk towards your kite (downwind) whilst you keep
reeling in the line until you can reach and securely take hold of the bridle line with your gloved
hand and then when the nose of the kite is within reach, take hold of that, again with your
gloved hand in order to fi nalise the secure landing of your kite.

• To power off the stabiliser, click the power button twice briefl y and the stabiliser will lose all
stability support and will be powered off, the LED indicator lights will be no longer fl ashing or
blinking.
• Put your kite on the ground with the bridle (‘Camera Kite’ printed side) facing up and with the
nose of your kite facing upwind before you detach the stabiliser from the red 90° attachment
arm and undo the clip from the metal bridle ring, then remove the spreader spar from the
spreader spar pockets but leave it in the two guiding loops before you roll-up your kite and store
it safely in the long lightweight kite storage bag.
