Main signaling voltages. Mains signaling voltage also known as ripple control signal for
various control applications, such as tariff changeover, street lightning, storage heathers, and
alarming. It is a is data telegram applied at a frequency between 110 Hz and 1600 Hz with an
amplitude of 1 % … 4 % of Vnom. Depending on the electrical utility, the telegram is from 6.6 s
up to 2 minutes long.

Frequency of up to two mains signaling voltages.
Measurement:
The Analyzer stores the RMS value of the mains signaling frequency and aggregates to 3 s
values. In accordance with IEC61000-4-30 the RMS values is either taken from the 5 Hz
frequency bin when the mains frequency is a multiple of the spectral frequency bin or
adjacent 4 bins are used. See Figure 13.
