Build in test
The TAWS system should be tested with the push button located at the LH main instrument
panel and the weather radar control panel first flight of the day.
Ensure the Terrain Inhibit Switch is not engaged, and Radar is in Test Mode. TAWS Display
on both HSIs: Pops Up with TAWS color test pattern

extinguish.
TERRAIN INOP and GPWS INOP remain lit for
approximately 1 minute as TAWS re-boots
