Synchronised transmissions
have
a
combined
filler plug/dipstick, Figure 60.
Unscrew
and
re-
move the
combined
filler plug/dipstick
and
refill
the
transmission
with
clean
oil.
Wipe the dipstick
with
a
clean
cloth,
replace
it
into
the
fi~er
aperture
and
screw
it
fully
in.
Check
that
the
oil
in
the
transmission
reaches
the
upper
mark
when
the
filler plug/dipstick
is
removed
once
more.
Top
up
as
necessary.
8 x 2 transmission:
Unscrew
the
filler
plug,
Figure
61.
and
refill
the
transmission
with
clean oil.

wipe
it with a
clean
cloth.
Re-
place
the
dipstick, pushing
it
fully
in
and
check
that the oil reaches the upper
mark
on
the
dipstick
when
it
is
removed
from
the transmission
aperture.
All
models:
After refilling
the
transmission,
start
the
engine
to
allow
the
oil
to
circulate throughout
the
transmission. After a
minute
or
so,
stop
the
en~
gine
and
recheck
the
transmission
oil
level.
