Function Description:

The Mustang Mach-E is an electric vehicle designed for personal transportation, offering a blend of performance, technology, and convenience features. It utilizes an electric motor for propulsion and is equipped with various advanced driver-assistance systems and connectivity options.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Roadside Assistance: Available for 5 years or 60,000 miles (100,000 km), whichever comes first.
  • High-Voltage Battery: Stores electrified power for the electric motor.
  • Charging: Supports both AC and DC charging. The charge port indicator displays the state of charge in 20% increments (0-20%, 20-40%, 40-60%, 60-80%, 80-100%).
  • Speed-Restricted Features: Some features are unavailable when the vehicle is in motion at or above 6 mph (10 km/h) for safety.
  • Blind Spot Information System (BLIS): Detects vehicles up to approximately 13 ft (4 m) beyond the rear bumper, extending to approximately 59 ft (18 m) for faster approaching vehicles when vehicle speed is greater than 30 mph (48 km/h). Operates when vehicle speed is greater than 6 mph (10 km/h).
  • Pre-Collision Assist: Active at speeds above 3 mph (5 km/h); pedestrian and cyclist detection active at speeds up to 50 mph (80 km/h).
  • Easy Entry and Exit: Moves the driver seat rearward up to 2 in (5 cm).

Usage Features:

Starting and Stopping the Electric Motor:

  • To start: Ensure the vehicle is in park (P), press the brake pedal, then press the Start Stop button. A valid remote control must be inside the vehicle. The "READY" light illuminates.
  • To stop (vehicle not moving, motor on/accessory mode): Press and release the Start Stop button without pressing the brake pedal.
  • To stop (vehicle moving): Press the Start Stop button three times within two seconds, or press and hold for at least one second. Shift into neutral (N) and use brakes to stop, then shift into park (P).

Instrument Panel and Center Display:

  • Exterior Lighting Control: Switches for headlamps, parking lamps, and autolamps (automatic on/off based on daylight).
  • Autowipers: System controls windshield wiper speed and frequency based on rain sensor sensitivity.
  • Rear Wiper: Operated by a switch on the end of the lever.
  • Instrument Cluster Display: Provides vehicle information, customizable through the touchscreen.
  • Push Button Start: Starts the electric motor without noise; requires a valid key or phone as a key inside the vehicle.

  • Ambient Lighting: Customizable colors and intensity via the touchscreen.
  • Wireless Accessory Charger: Charges compatible Qi-wireless charging devices on the center console. A lightning bolt icon appears on the 15-inch display when charging.
  • Opening the Door from Inside: Pull the inside door release handle. If battery is depleted, pull handle all the way back for mechanical unlatching.
  • Memory Function: Recalls driver seat and power mirror positions. Up to three preset positions can be saved.
