Function Description
The primary function of the LUNA™ 4 plus is deep cleansing. It utilizes T-Sonic™ pulsations, which are adjustable across 16 intensities, to remove dirt, oil, and makeup residue from the skin in just one minute. The device is equipped with extra-soft, ultra-hygienic silicone touchpoints, which are 35 times more hygienic than nylon bristles and suitable for all skin types. These silicone touchpoints, combined with the T-Sonic™ pulsations, work to purify the skin and enhance the absorption of active ingredients from your skincare products.
A key feature of the LUNA™ 4 plus is its Thermo-Tech, which combines near-infrared heating with red LED light. This technology gently warms the skin to dilate pores, allowing for a deeper and more effective cleanse. The red LED light therapy also works to boost collagen production and target fine lines and sun damage, contributing to a more youthful complexion.
Beyond cleansing, the LUNA™ 4 plus offers a targeted microcurrent massage. This feature uses microcurrent pins to deliver gentle electrical currents directly to the skin, promoting non-invasive age renewal. The firming facial massage targets visible signs of aging by tightening facial muscles and toning the skin, visibly diminishing the look of fine lines and sagging for a firmer, more youthful appearance. The microcurrent massage can be customized with 16 intensity levels and offers various routines to address specific concerns.
The device is designed for personalized rituals, offering 5 guided and 5 manual routines to choose from. It can lift away dirt, oil, and excess sebum in just one minute, followed by sophisticated microcurrent firming for fresh, smooth, and younger-looking skin.
The LUNA™ 4 plus is available in two versions tailored to different skin types:
- LUNA™ 4 plus Sensitive skin: Features thin bristles, ideal for skin prone to inflammation, redness, itching, or dryness.
- LUNA™ 4 plus Normal skin: Features thicker bristles on top, suitable for healthy skin with a perfect oil and water balance, feeling neither too dry nor too oily.
Usage Features
To begin using the LUNA™ 4 plus, you first need to download the FOREO For You mobile app to unlock and register your device. The app serves as an interactive hub, allowing you to control device settings, access video-guided routines, and even locate your device if misplaced.
Cleansing Mode:
- Remove all makeup, dampen your skin, and apply FOREO cleanser to your face.
- Press the power button to activate Cleansing mode. You can easily switch between Gentle, Regular, and Deep Cleansing modes by pressing the mode buttons on the device.
- Gentle Cleansing: Low-level T-Sonic™ pulsation intensities (1-5).
- Regular Cleansing: Mid-level T-Sonic™ pulsation intensities (6-10).
- Deep Cleansing: High-level T-Sonic™ pulsation intensities (11-16).
- Glide the LUNA™ 4 plus's touchpoints in circular motions over your face until the built-in timer turns the device off.
- Rinse and pat your face dry.
For the LED heating, you can choose the temperature level (Low-Medium-High) and the LED frequency (Constant or Pulse) via the app.
Firming Massage Mode:
- Apply FOREO serum to clean, dry skin. It is crucial to use a conductive serum, such as FOREO's SERUM SÉRUM SERUM, to ensure safe and effective microcurrent transfer.
- Press the power button to turn on the device, then quickly double-press it to activate Firming Massage mode.
- Easily change between your saved massage modes by pressing the mode buttons.
- Gentle Massage: Low-level T-Sonic™ pulsation & microcurrent intensities (1-5).
- Regular Massage: Mid-level T-Sonic™ pulsation & microcurrent intensities (6-10).
- Deep Massage: High-level T-Sonic™ pulsation & microcurrent intensities (11-16).
- Relax your face and glide the LUNA™ 4 plus's firming massage surface in outward motions, following the shape of your face until the built-in timer turns the device off.
- Continue with your usual skincare routine.
The microcurrent technology can be turned off for all three massage modes if you prefer to use only T-Sonic™ pulsations.
Treatments (via FOREO For You App):
The app offers 5 pre-programmed video-guided massage routines targeting specific parts of the face:
- Full Facial Toning: Lifts and firms the entire face (2 min).
- Eye Treatment: Lifts the eye contour (4 min).
- Laugh Line: Smoothes laugh lines and the lip area (6 min).
- Forehead Smoothing: Targets brows and forehead (2 min).
- Magic Mouth: Sculpts the mouth and cheeks (5 min).
Manual Massage Modes:
The LUNA™ 4 plus also comes with 5 brand-new manual massage patterns, each with unique benefits:
- Lymphatic Drainage Massage: Encourages facial lymph circulation, ideal for fluid accumulations around the eyes and under the jawline.
- Deep Tissue Massage: Uses deep pressure at slower intervals to relieve facial muscle tension, perfect for cheeks and above the jawline.
- Trigger Point Massage: Uses alternating pressure levels to release tightness in muscle tissue, good for the neck.
- Shiatsu Massage: Uses pulsing pressure to promote emotional and physical calm, and reduce fatigue, fantastic for the forehead and temples.
- Reflexology Massage: Uses gentle to firm pressure to relax or restore natural energy levels, recommended for between the eyebrows and in front of the ears.
General Usage Notes:
- The device is USB-rechargeable and offers up to 100 uses per charge.
- It features a low-battery indicator light.
- The charging port is 100% waterproof, allowing for use in the shower during cleansing mode. However, the microcurrent mode cannot be used in the shower, and the device must be completely dry before activating the microcurrent function or charging.
- For travel convenience, the device includes a travel lock feature. To activate, hold down the [feather] and [pore] buttons together for 3 seconds. Follow the same procedure to unlock.
- The LUNA™ 4 plus is safe and gentle enough for daily use, either morning or night, for cleansing. However, microcurrent mode should not be used more than once per day.
- It is recommended not to use the device for more than 3 minutes per day in cleansing mode.
- Do not share your device for hygiene reasons.
- Always remove makeup before starting a cleansing routine.
- Use gentle, circular motions without applying pressure during cleansing.
- The device can be used around the eye area, but exercise particular care and avoid contact with eyelids or eyes. Do not use the microcurrent feature on the circular muscle within the orbital rim of the eye.
- A slight tingling sensation may occur during microcurrent use; lowering the intensity can reduce or eliminate this sensation.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning Your LUNA™ 4 plus:
- Always clean the device thoroughly after each use.
- Wash the brush surface with water and soap, then rinse with warm water.
- Pat dry with a lint-free cloth or towel.
- For optimal results, it is recommended to spray the device with FOREO Silicone Cleaning Spray and rinse with warm water after use.
- Never use cleaning products containing alcohol, petrol, or acetone, as these can irritate the skin and damage the silicone material of the device.
- Avoid using clay-based, silicone-based, or grainy cleansers, exfoliators, or scrubs, as they may damage the soft silicone touchpoints.
- If the long silicone bristles become tangled, gently brush them in any direction to reset them to their normal position.
Battery Removal (for disposal):
This process is irreversible and will void the warranty. It should only be undertaken when the device is ready for disposal.
- Remove the silicone outer layer.
- Open the inner plastic shell.
- Remove the lithium-ion battery.
- Dispose of the battery according to local environmental regulations. Wear gloves for safety during this process.
Travel Pouch:
A travel pouch is included to conveniently store the device for skincare on the go.
