3 Set the IP address and netmask of the external (WAN1) interface to the external
IP address and netmask you recorded in Table 8 on page 33.

To set the WAN1 interface to use DHCP, enter:

4 Use the same syntax to set the IP address of each FortiGate interface as
required.
5 Confirm that the addresses are correct. Enter:
get system interface
The CLI lists the IP address, netmask, and other settings for each of the FortiGate
interfaces.
To configure DNS server settings
Set the primary and secondary DNS server IP addresses. Enter
config system dns
set primary <address_ip>
set secondary <address_ip>
